UNICEF Moroto Cluster has ended a two day training on Friday 16th December 2022 in Kapchorwa District. The trainees included CDOs, a team from DHO, team from Municipality, Councilors on Committee for Social Services and Gender and led by the DCDO Ms. Aseko Harriet.

The Training had modules on how to handle and protect children during emergencies (disasters) basing on the core principles of
Humanity - prevent and alleviate human suffering,
Neutrality - no sides/controversies,
Impartiality - no discrimination,
Independence from politics, economic,military and other.

The training was opened yesterday by CAO Mr Onzu M Ismal who asked participants to become good trainers after this training.

The DCDO Ms Harriet Aseko while closing, urged participants to start practicing what they have learnt right from their homes and have a mindset change.

Hon Badru Sabila the Vice LCV asked the TOTs to talk communities about environmental protection as one of disaster courses in our district.
He also asked step mothers to practice Impartiality while taking care of children from co-wives
